Frai, the artist: known for her mystical and mesmerising abstracts, Frai has of late created art inspired by the inexhaustible richness of South-African landscapes. The bursts of colour in her palette awaken a longing for destinations of serene beauty in Edenic parts of the world. The bold, but dreamy landscapes create windows of escape to places where a voice of calm speaks in magical silence.
Frai says of her work that it is a counter voice in a world filled with the violent noise of hurt, angst and sadness. Working from a home studio in George, where she is a mother of the most adorable identical twin girls and their baby brother, Frai and her husband fill their days with the music of children’s laughter. That music resonates in each work of art sent from that haven of peace into a world in need of beauty.
